Future
potential additions to the project are not currently
approved as part of the Douglas County Special Use Permit
process, but are a recognized part of the overall project
vision. Future elements may include the potential utilization
of the existing residences as a manor house or country
inn, the development of a creamery operation to produce
high-end cheeses from Nevada’s dairy producers, and
a brewery, which will produce the first 100% Nevada
beer using grains wheat, barley, and hops grown in the
State of Nevada.
The potential for a hydroponics
operation (farming plants without soil) and an aquaculture
operation (farming fish such as salmon, lobster, halibut)
looks promising given the presence of geothermal energy
on the property. All operations would join in nicely
with the culinary arts center, deli, meat and cheese
shop, marketplace, and provide a true destination experience
to the visitor.
